One of the oldest trusts in India, the origins of Shri Mahavira Jaina Vidyalaya (SMJV) dates back to 1914, when it was established with the gracious blessings of Yugdrashta Acharya Shri Vijay Vallabhsuriswarji Maharaj Saheb for the betterment of the Jaina community.
At SMJV, we firmly believe that education, combined with the practice of fundamental Jain principles, plays a vital role in nurturing responsible citizens for the future. Jainism, being more than a religion, is considered a way of life. Lord Mahavira taught us to be accountable for every moment of our lives, and Vidyalaya strives to instil this teaching in young Jains through a range of activities.
Our primary aim is to promote and propagate the Jain way of life while fostering contemporary academic pursuits. This can only be achieved by establishing educational institutes or provide support for academic endeavours, exclusively for the Jain community, as well as to devise schemes for the advancement of education.
